How to Check Your Hotel Room
for a Mold-Free Stay in Bali

Layanan lengkap untuk mendukung lingkungan paling sehat untuk Anda

The Island of Gods is warm and humid all year.

While that’s perfect for you to enjoy the beaches and the lush jungles, it’s also perfect for mold to grow.

No one wants strange smells or health worries on holiday.

A quick check of your hotel room can help you stay mold-free and breathe clean, so you can focus on enjoying the Bali paradise.

Quick Mold-Free Check Tips:

Quick Mold-Free Check Tips:

  1. Trust Your Nose

Take a deep breath when you walk in.

Does the room smell fresh? Or does it smell musty, or earthy?

A musty smell is often the first sign that mold might be hiding.

  2. Check the Corners

Look up at ceilings and around walls, especially near windows.

Mold often hides in corners, behind curtains, or under air conditioners.

  3. Peek Behind Furniture

If it’s easy, gently move small furniture or rugs and look underneath. Mold loves dark, hidden spots, and staying mold-free is all about finding them before they cause problems.

  4. Turn on the AC

When you turn on the air conditioner, does it smell strange?

Moldy AC filters can spread spores around the room instead of helping you breathe clean air.

  5. Feel for Dampness

Run your hand along the walls or furniture. Do they feel damp, sticky, or cold? That could mean there’s moisture trapped inside, which can lead to mold.

    If You Spot Mold:

    • Tell the hotel staff right away.

    • Ask for a different room if it smells very musty or you see mold spots.

    • Try not to run the AC in a moldy room - it can spread mold faster.

    • For longer stays, choose places known for keeping things clean and dry, so you can enjoy a mold-free stay and breathe clean air.
